Szene 1-3

Szene 1-3 is a piece for three medium sized, and one mini loudspeaker, placed on various positions in the performance room asymmetricaly. The speakers are played independently from each other. The public is situated inside of the sound- space, free to move, when the room situation allows this. The allocation of the speakers is arranged depending on the particular room- and acoustical situation.
The speakers are functioning on the one hand as "actors", sending out various voices and characteristic noises and sounds, on the other hand as abstract sound sources. Sounds, noises and voices , generated among others through the use of a short- circuited mixing desk, a prepared electric guitar, a radio, and various objects and samples, are varyed and sent through a supercollider patch to the speakers in real time.
Also the sound of the concert room itself is foregrounded acoustically in some quiet, reduced parts of the piece.

This concept and composition was developed and performed in 2009.

It was played a.o.:

On a stretch of road in Grimma in the context of a sound walk during the festival "Was hören wir? " on the 12.9.09.
The speakers were placed on opposite sites of the road like in a way, that a sound/ noise tunnel was created, which the public could walk through.
